Stubbington Fayre 2016

Stubbington Fayre

We had a stand at Stubbington Fayre.  The main aim was to attract new volunteers although we also sold new books and offered face painting.  The day was very successful and the weather was perfect.  We now have quite a few prospective volunteers to contact.

Louise, Debbie and her daughter Becky were there all day, and our Chairman Andy and his wife Jan also helped at lunch time so that well earned breaks could be taken!  Louise’s partner Dave (& family dog Jack) also offered support and bought us cakes in the afternoon – most welcome!

We met a family from a different area who had support at a difficult time in their lives and they said that they wouldn’t have coped without their volunteer.

A mum that is currently supported by us stopped to say hello and she thanked Home-Start ‘for being there for me’.

Another recently supported family came along and also sang our praises.

All the thanks go to our volunteers who do such a fantastic job – it’s nice to hear these lovely comments.
